We recently went to Jade Palace to order a feast of food for 10 people to celebrate our buddy leaving the area. We literally tried at least 15 different items on the menu and they were all delicious. From Chow Fun to two kinds of dumplings, as well Fried Rice and several chicken, beef and shrimp dishes. The food was fresh and prepared well and the owner (Kevin) was extremely generous with sharing the history of the restaurant that has been in his family for many many years going back to the 1970's. I recommend trying this place for real authentic Chinese food.
This is my go-to for high-quality but familiar comforting Chinese-American food in Carrboro. The people are always so friendly and the prices are reasonable. And I’m always impressed with how consistently they do a good job on the food.
We order takeout from Jade palace all the time. The food is really good and the online ordering system is easy to use. There is a parking lot across the street that you can park at for free that makes pickup simple. The staff are organized and efficient with getting orders to you so you can be on your way. We love the orange chicken, chicken pad Thai and crab Rangoon. There is no indoor seating right now but that's not a big deal to us. Would recommend giving it a try!
By far my friend Chinese restaurant in the area. After having their General Tao’s chicken for the first time. They used all real meat! Wasn’t none of that half bread half meat you get from some restaurants. I’ll be coming to this location from now on. Hopefully you give this place a try after reading this review!
Authentic Chinese food that reminds me of home. The owner is very nice and has supported our sorority’s charity ball many times. They have been renovating and only offering takeout and delivery. If you are looking for some authentic Chinese food, I recommend ordering the dishes with Chinese name on the menu.
This is most authentic Chinese restaurant around Chapel Hill and Carborro. I started to order when I was a freshman. Right now, after 3 years, I am stilled amazed how delicious dishes are. My Chinese friends liked to have hot pot there before. They told me jade palace’s hot pot is like comforting food for them. Also, the lady worked there is really nice.
Jade Palace has been my comfort restaurant for about a decade. I have joyfully eaten my way through the menu over the years and have always been delighted! Great service and this restaurant is such an essential part of carrboro! I’m moving out of state and I am going to miss Jade Palace so much!! Nothing but love for this place!!! Thank you to everyone at Jade Palace for feeding me and making me smile even when I’m sad on my floor!!!! Y’all are such an awesome part of this community and I want only the best of ya!!!!!
Best Chinese food around the town. Highly recommend the dry pot and spare ribs.
